Filtration, as a conventional treatment process for water treatment, plays an effective role in reducing turbidity in water in domestic drinking water and industrial water treatment. The material used for filtration is called filter material.

When the water passes through the filter layer formed by the filter material, under the action of the filter layer, the impurities contained in the water stream and the suspended particles are trapped in the gap of the filter material. As the porosity of the filter material becomes smaller, smaller suspended particles are also trapped. At the same time, the floc retained on the surface of the filter material contacts and adsorbs suspended particles in the water to purify the water.

Ceramic filter select high quality clay as raw material, add pore-forming agent and sticky solvent, by ball milling, screening, molding and calcining. Ceramic sand filter is a kind of filtration material with hard surface, multi-porous interior, large specific surface area, high porosity. It is used for waste water treatment, with strong filter capability, long cycle time of filter, low consuming on water filter end and backwash. It is a new type of media which can enhance the production of water, improve water quality and reduce energy consumption. Generally use of precipitation, coagulation, bio-ceramic filter method in wastewater treatment and water treatment.

Application

In the treatment of steel rolling wastewater, precipitation, coagulation, and biological ceramsite filtration are generally employed. After the suspended solids and oil in the wastewater are removed, they are cooled and recycled. The water quality of the treated water requires a turbidity of 10-15 degrees and an oil content of 10 mg/liter.
